Your relationship to food is inseparable from your core beliefs about being alive. No matter how sophisticated, wise, or enlightened you believe you are, how you eat tells all. If you want to understand and change your beliefs about abundance, scarcity, deprivation, relaxation, kindness, and what you deserve to give yourself, the world is on your plate. When you begin to understand what prompts you to eat when you aren't hungry, the process takes you deeper into realms of spirit to the bright center of your own life.

Beginning with the longing to be free from issues of eating, wanting more, and never having enough and using the strength of that longing, we will explore basic questions such as: What am I really hungry for? How can I have what I want without suffering afterwards? Can I see myself and be seen for who I am? What would happen to my world and who would be threatened if I were happy? Is it possible to contact the source of love, light, stillness, peace and to live my life from that place?


Workshops with Geneen

End the Struggle.  In this weekend workshop, you will learn the tools of inquiry, body-sensing, meditation and Geneen's Seven Steps to Freedom with Food that are the basis of the journey itself. Rather than getting rid of your conflicted relationship with food, you will become aware of what's standing in your way. You will learn to welcome what is already here, contact the part of yourself that is fresh and alive, and live the life you truly want.

Retreats with Geneen

There is an unfolding that happens in this time away from your regular life that cannot happen or would take years longer to happen otherwise. After a few days of being away from your day-to-day life, the membrane that separates you from yourself and your deepest longings begins to dissolve. The thoughts and beliefs that continually keep you from being yourself become apparent. In this safe, nurturing space you will move into what you really want for your life.

The time we spend together will be soul, body and spirit time. We will explore what keeps us from committing to the promise of ourselves. We will explore the foundation upon which we build our lives and open the direct experience of spaciousness, happiness and joy by sensing our bodies, living with support, and developing the ability to feel emotions without acting them out or repressing them.


  • How to lose weight and keep it off.
  • Learning how to tell which foods your body, not your mind, wants.
  • Understanding what keeps you from freeing yourself from the pain around food.
  • Discovering how to treat yourself with immense kindness -- and the difference that makes in your relationship with food. (Note: kindness does not lead to bingeing!)
  • Learning how to take in the pleasure and happiness of what is already working in your life.
  • Letting go of the constant battle with yourself, food, money, and having enough.
  • Discovering that no situation or feeling is unworkable.
  • Turning off the shaming and belittling inner critic.
  • Taking what you learn home with you and integrating it into your life.
